Markets largely assume the US gov'mt will refix its debt ceiling which is actually a BOTTOMLESS PIT!
Interesting, because markets usually price in risk, and this is a HUGE RISK!
"Time" is short, with no fix in sight!
Methinks there is indeed the possibility, even probability, that no fix will be forthcoming.
Neither Republicans, their T-Party contingent, Democrats, or Obama show any sign of moving from their respective dogmatic positions! It's not just about the "debt ceiling", but about fundamental policy - taxing the rich rather than the poor!
Now Jobs' Apple has more cash-flow than the US gov'mt!
Would the "Masters of the Universe" be willing to let the U.S. gov'mt go BUST?
Some gov'mt officials have already lost their jobs collecting aviation taxes! Airlines in the USA now don't pay those taxes! Airlines adjusted their prices so they effectively keep what they would've (should've?) paid in taxes!
Corporate freedom from taxes, from gov'mt controls, as gov'mt officials lose jobs, looks sweet at corporate HQ - WELCOME TO CAPITALIST, bought-out-government US of A!
So this "time" the "unthinkable" certainly is at least a possibility!

Comments in the worldly media-mill say that such an outcome would have unknown, dire consequences for the world. As such is "unthinkable" this means we can't even think about the outcome, which is what the markets seem to indicate too! Does this remind one of the three monkeys? Or an ostrich with its head in the sand?
There's a juggernaut of debt barreling down the road at you... and you close your eyes? Are we repetitively witnessing the absurd, ludicrous, last-minute shuffling of feet as clown-like officials of the USA and the EU make as little adjustments in their positions as they can get away with to avoid the inevitable disaster?
The Chinese are aghast, as they hold a lot of US dollar debt, and Euro debt too.
Banks go bust... can't get cash out... VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX... services go down... going down... ground zero... basement... foundations... no bottom in sight... into the VOID, the ABYSS... nothing to hold onto down there but the Devil's tail.
